Goa, Kashmir victims of typecast, says Omar

While Goa was a victim of the perception of being a fun and party destination, Jammu and Kashmir was typecast as a place beset with violence, Abdullah said.

"Goa, like Kashmir, is a victim of typecast. People only associate Goa with fun, partying and carnival. And Kashmir, only linked to violence," he said at a literary conference here.

"Goa and Kashmir have great culture, which tends to get ignored because of these typecast notions."
