Indian in Singapore jailed for molesting two women

An Indian construction worker was Thursday sentenced to three years in jail and twelve strokes of the cane for molesting two women here.

Indian national Bose Durairaj, 27, pleaded guilty to molesting a 19-year-old woman on Oct 4 this year. The victim was sitting with her friend when Durairaj hugged her from behind, Straits Times reported.

She struggled to break free from his hug and eventually, when she managed to free herself, she punched Durairaj and he fled.

Earlier Aug 18, Durairaj also molested a 24-year-old woman in the same area.
