Actor Kamal Haasan, who has floated Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), on Wednesday met Election Commission officials and expressed confidence that the process of registration of his political party will be done in around a week's time.
"It was a normal process. They asked some questions and we gave them the answers. There was no big objection," he told reporters after the meeting.
Asked when the process of the registration would be over, Kamal said: "It will come to a logical conclusion very soon. They (officials) said they would decide in a week or 10 days."
He said he had not asked for an election symbol as that would be decided later.
