Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday met the family members of 23-year-old photographer Ankit Saxena, who was allegedly murdered by the family of his Muslim girlfriend on last week.

The Chief Minister along with Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha members Sushil Gupta and Sanjay Singh assured that his government would make all possible efforts to ensure they get justice.

In his 15 minute visit to the victim's house in the evening, Kejriwal shared his personal mobile number with the family and assured they will hire the "best of lawyers" in the case so stern action is taken against the accused.

He also promised financial assistance for treatment of Ankit's ailing mother.

Ankit Saxena was killed on February 1 by the family of a woman he was in a relationship with.

According to Delhi Police, the woman's family was against their relationship as they belonged to different communities and had told him to end it.
