Film star-turned-former Kerala minister K.B.Ganesh Kumar and his wife Yamini Thankachi were divorced Tuesday in a family court here.
"Yes, the divorce has been cleared by the court as all agreements of the divorce petition have been followed. Now, I will move on in life with my children (two boys) and my well-wishers," said Thankachi, a doctor.
The differences between the two reached a peak when he had to quit as state minister of forest and sports on April 2 after Thankachi accused him of domestic violence and met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy with her complaint.
An out-of-court settlement was reached with Kumar agreeing to give Thankachi the home they lived in and a huge sum of money.
