The Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals here on Sunday has been delayed due to rain.
"The start of the match has been delayed due to rain. Once the rain has stopped and the covers removed from the wicket, the field of play will be inspected by the match officials to determine whether it is suitable for play," a message said on the giant-screen at the Eden Gardens.
It has been pouring in Kolkata for the last two hours.
