Modi meets Xi for summit talks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Chinese President Xi Jinping for summit talks here.

Modi and Xi shook hands before beginning the official talks.

Modi arrived earlier in the day to begin his three-day visit to China.

Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, is the hometown of Xi Jingping.
