Nine militants killed in Afghanistan

At least nine militants, including a local Taliban leader, were killed Wednesday in a security operation in Afghanistan, police said.

The nine were killed in Chardara district in the northern province of Kunduz, Xinhua quoted a police spokesman as saying.
