A lawyer with the Patna High Court was shot dead by motorcycle-borne criminals here on Wednesday, prompting the Chief Justice of the court A.P. Sahi to tell police to file a report by this evening.
Jitendar Kumar was shot in Rajeev Nagar locality, killing him instantly, the police said.
Lawyers from the court met Sahi and demanded a probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the case .
In the afternoon, the lawyers protested by blocking roads and kept away from work.
