Madrid, June 4 (IANS/EFE) Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid's Portuguese forward, has been named the La Liga player of the month for May 2015, undoubtedly thanks to scoring three hat-tricks in three games out of the team's four clashes last month.
Despite Ronaldo's nine goals, May was the month when Real Madrid failed to catch up with leading Barcelona, which eventually won La Liga title in the penultimate round, Efe news agency reported.
He scored a hat-trick against Sevilla, Espanyol and Getafe, but failed to score against Valencia, the match in which he wasted a penalty kick.
