Save cow to save India: BJP MP
"India will survive only if cow survives," BJP MP Shankarbhai N. Vegad said on Monday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat was taking part in a discussion on the 2017-18 budget.
Vegad said: "Gai bachegi to Hindustan bachega". He claimed that cow urine can cure cancer "if used in a proper way".
He said households which have a cow stay healthy as "gaumutra" (cow urine) wards off germs. "We will have to save the cow," he added.
