Self-styled journalist on the run after assaulting woman

A self-styled journalist who blackmailed petty vendors after threatening to expose their alleged wrongdoing is on the run here on charges of assaulting a woman.

A complaint has been filed against Vivek Bhati following the complaint of a woman who alleged that he had been harassing her for long and sexually assaulting her.

"Attempts are being made to arrest him," Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar said.

Police said Bhati had fixed a dish antenna on his scooter and pretended to be a television journalist.
