At least six persons were killed and 10 injured in an explosion at a restaurant outside two Somali government ministries on Wednesday.
A car loaded with explosives went off at the entrance of the restaurant which is located opposite the Sports Ministry in Shangani district, police officer Ahmed Elmi told Xinhua news agency.
The Internal Security Ministry headquarters is also located nearby.
Adjacent buildings were also destroyed in the explosion.
Mohamed Ugas, an eyewitness, said the explosion caused shock and fear among people around.
"I was inside my shop when I heard a huge blast. I saw bodies on the ground and other people being pulled out by rescue teams," said Ugas.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the latest attack.
