Three arrested for gang rape in Delhi

Three cab drivers were arrested after a woman complained that she was raped in a car here Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

Jitender, Jai Bhagwan and Ajay, all residents of Nangal Dehat in south Delhi area, were arrested Thursday morning, police said.

The victim, a 25-year-old woman, is a resident of Ambedkar Nagar. She told police that one of the accused was known to her.

The victim said Jitendra and Jai Bhagwan offered her a lift in their car while she was waiting for a bus. They took her to an isolated area in Vasant Kunj where Ajay joined them to rape her in turns.

 

They later threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the assault.
