Three killed by lightning in Bihar

At least three youths were killed and four seriously injured on Thursday when they were struck by lightning in Bihar's Katihar district, police said.

The three were killed in Milkipokhar village in Katihar, about 200 km from state capital Patna, while they were working in a field near their home, according to district police officials.

Meteorological department officials said lightning strikes are common in Bihar during the June-September monsoon season.
