UP government transfers 29 IPS, 14 PPS officials

The Uttar Pradesh government late on Tuesday rejigged the police department and transferred 29 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 14 Provincial Police officials, an official spokesman for the home department said.

Om Prakash Singh, who was Superintendent of Police (SP) in Lalitpur, has been shifted to Jhansi as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) while Mirza Manjar Beg has been shifted out of the CB-CID and named the new police chief of Lalitpur in Bundelkhand.

Sunil Gupta, who was the SP (Law and Order) with the DGP headquarters in Lucknow has been named the new SSP of Gorakhpur, home of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

 

Poonam has been made the SP of Lakhimpur Kheri while Sunil Kumar Singh is the new district police chief of Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Surendra Bahadur has been made the new SP of Mau, Ganesh Prasad Saha SP of Banda, Amit Kumar SP of Balrampur and Satish Kumar is the new police chief of Barabanki, neighbouring the state capital Lucknow.

The PPS officials who have been transferred included Rahul Mithas, Shivram Yadav, Shishyapal, Anoop Kumar, Sukhram Bharti, Dinesh Singh, Shivraj, Vinod Kumar Pandey.
