VD Man kills friend over suspected affair

A man has been arrested for killing a friend who suspected him of having an affair with his wife, police said on Tuesday.

The accused, Uddyan, a builder from Lahori Gate area, was taken into custody from a hideout in G.B Road.

The incident occurred on Monday night when the victim, Yahiya, 30, came with his wife and sister-in-law to talk to Uddyan, police said. Yahiya was a garments businessman.

"Yahiya and Uddyan were friends for years. They had an altercation a couple of weeks ago after Yahiya suspected that Uddyan was having an affair with his wife," a police officer said.

 

At their meeting, both men again got into a verbal duel during which Yahiya pointed a pistol at Uddyan, who snatched it and shot dead Yahiya.
