Volkswagen launches 21st Century Beetle in India

German car maker Volkswagen on Friday announced the launch of 21st Century Beetle model in India.

The model is priced at Rs.28.73 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai, a company statement said.

"Carrying forward its unmistakably timeless charm, blended with modern day technological sophistication, the 21st Century Beetle now comes with rounded yet masculine proportions and a host of refined, irresistible internal and exterior features," Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, was quoted as saying in the statement.

The model is available at select Volkswagen India outlets across India, the statement added.
