It was a warm day in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled at 33.1 degrees Celsius, slightly above the season's average. However, the Met office forecasts light rain Saturday.
"The skies will remain partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain in some parts of the city," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The day's minimum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 19.0 degrees Celsius. The humidity wavered between a high and low of 91 and 50 percent.
Saturday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 and 19 degrees Celsius.
Thursday's maximum and minimum temperatures were both recorded a level above the season's average at 33.2 degrees Celsius and 18.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
