Dressing down

Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not restrict the dress code to himself, as the minister for information and broadcasting and environment, Prakash Javadekar, discovered. En route to catch a flight to Kenya, Javadekar had opted to wear a comfortable pair of jeans and a T-shirt for the journey. But he was forced to change after being sternly reminded by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) that his attire did not match the position he held. "Are you aware that you are a central minister?" came the acid question from the PMO. What surprised the minister most was that he had barely travelled two kilometres from his official residence when he got this call.
