At a recent meeting of investors in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar refused to drink a glass of neera (toddy) he was offered, saying he was full after lunch. Some participants were miffed.
One of them said: "On the day he (Kumar) enforced prohibition he was all praise for neera. Now, he doesn't even want to drink it. He should set an example."
He also said investment in the state had plummeted after prohibition. "It is a joke," he said. "The CM's enthusiasm about neera should be taken with a pinch of salt."
