Most politicians are eager to share the podium with Anna Hazare but West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee makes no bones about the fact that she disapproves of his “subversion of the democratic process”. Banerjee, who was in the capital to attend an award function last week, walked out in a huff as soon as she noticed Hazare walk in with his entourage. The organisers were in a tizzy since Banerjee was to receive an award. It was only after much pleading that she returned but ensured that she did not share the dais with the social activist.
