You can't buy planes with cash

At an Airbus press conference in Bengaluru, someone sprung the topic of demonetisation on Airbus India’s managing director, Srinivasan Dwarakanath. He was asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes would affect the sales of planes in the country. Pat came Dwarkanath’s response: “Aerospace companies don’t accept payments in cash for the million-dollar planes they sell.”
