Suzlon recognized for all-round performance

October 18, 2006, Pune: Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL) "� the world's fifth leading and India and Asia's leading manufacturer of wind turbines received renewed recognition over the past month of its commitment to excellence in all aspects of it's business and operations. The company was recognized for the IPO of the Year in the renewables sector, and was recognized for the best sector implementation of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software, and the company received recognition for excellence in project management at the ENPower Awards.

Suzlon among Renewables' Financial Finest

Suzlon received the best IPO honor at the 3rd Global Renewable Energy Awards, backed by Euromoney and Ernst & Young. The awards were held as part of the 8th annual Renewable Energy Finance Forum in London and recognize the renewable energy world's financial finest.

The awards emphasize the growing importance of the private sector in delivering clean and secure energy supplies for our and future generations.

Suzlon took away the inaugural 'IPO of the Year' award, instituted for the first time at the 2006 awards. The awards themselves were established in 2004 to recognize the companies, projects and individuals who contribute the most to taking the renewable energy industry forward, and demonstrate best practice in renewable energy finance and development.

Suzlon bags SAP Award for Customer Excellence

Suzlon received further recognition at the first edition of the SAP Awards for Customer Excellence in India, receiving the award for the Best Discrete Sector Implementation in the Engineering & Construction sector. The winners were selected from 156 nominations from 85 organizations from India and Sri Lanka for awards in 16 categories. The awards are a recognition of the growing maturity of IT adoption amongst Indian enterprises, underlining how information technology is being effectively used by enterprises in:- a) Effective business transformation, b) Taking advantage of growth and globalization, c) Innovatively re-architecting their business models, d) Obtaining deep and actionable insights into their business and their ecosystem e) Delivering strong return on investment and return on information to their stakeholders, while achieving better operational efficiencies.

Suzlon receives ENPower 2006 Award

Suzlon also received the prestigious ENPower Award 2006 for Project Management, at the POWER India 2006 International Exhibition and Conference held at Mumbai. The ENPower Awards, recognizing corporate excellence in the Power & Energy space, are backed by PowerStream, in association with the India-Tech Foundation. The evaluation process, carried out by a panel of industry experts and analysts, covered detailed validation and evaluation based on the criteria such as project execution, business alignment and measurable results.
