The Uppal Group signs up with Marriott International

5 Star luxury JW Marriott hotel will be owned & developed by The Uppal Group and managed by Marriott International.

210 key property will come up with a total project investment of Rs. 325 crore.

The Uppal Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers has signed up with Marriott International, a worldwide hotel management and franchising company, to manage and operate its forthcoming 5 Star, luxury JW Marriott Hotel in Gurgaon. Entailing total project investments of around Rs.325 crore, the property is located on NH8 and is spread over an area of 12.5 acres.

As part of the agreement, The Uppal Group will own and develop the proposed hotel, while the day-to-day operations will be managed by Marriott International. Designed by Singapore based SCDA, the hotel will offer 210 super luxury rooms and will be a landmark in terms of its design and form - with towers, landscaped podiums and generous atrium spaces.

The hotel will offer guests rooms of the size of 650sq.ft and above, which is almost double the room size provided in other 5 Star properties. It will have a luxurious spa with an area of 2,000 sq.mt. overlooking the generous green area which will add to the ambience and appeal. The hotel will excel in terms of the variety of food and beverage facilities. The hotel will be based in close vicinity of Delhi airport and is likely to be completed by September 2009.

The Uppal Group had earlier signed up Marriott international for their upcoming 5 Star Deluxe Property in Chandigarh. This is going to be yet another hospitality landmark from the house of Uppal’s in the City Beautiful, in fact the first 5 Star Deluxe Property of

Chandigarh. Located in the heart of city, the project entails an investment of approximately Rs.175 crore and is lavished with world-class amenities such as a 500 square meter banquet hall, a swimming pool, a spa, water cascades, a gymnasium, conferencing facilities, multi cuisine restaurants and ample parking space. The 155 keys ultra luxury hotel will be spread over an area of more than 2.6 acres. Designed by Singapore based architects, SRSS Design International, the hotel promises to fulfill the prime requirements of Chandigarh as the next best thing in corporate luxury.
