10 killed, one injured in landslide in Mizoram

Ten people were killed and another injured when a building was swept away by a landslide triggered by heavy rains in the Lunglawn area of south Mizoram's Lunglei town, police said today.

It was raining heavily last night in the Lunglawn area when the landslide hit the building killing 10 people, they said.

The Lunglei District Disaster Response Team and local volunteers rushed to the spot to rescue people, police said.
