100 fake transport firms unearthed

VAT department of Delhi Government today unearthed a racket of close to 100 fake transport firms in Janakpuri area and said the companies are doubted to be involved in financial irregularities to the tune of hundreds of crores.

"We got information about these firms which were operating illegally. Officials of the department have seized bill books of the fake firms," a senior government official said.

He said as per initial investigation, the firms are suspected to be involved in financial irregularities to the tune of hundred crores.
