12 establishments on forest land demolished in Jammu

Twelve shops, including a bar-cum-restaurant, built on forest land were demolished today by forest department officials in Jammu.

A team of forest department officials demolished the twelve establishments constructed on forest land in Ban Nagrota in outskirts of Jammu, an official spokesman said.

With the demolition of the shops, about 4 kanals of forest land was retrieved. The retrieved land was diverted to highway for four-laning of road, he said.
