13 injured in clash

Thirteen persons were today injured

when two groups clashed near here, officials said.

Some houses were also ransacked, they said.

The clash occurred when Pongal festival celebrations were on at a temple in Paramathyvellure Valavanthi village.

The injured have been hospitalised.

Namakkal Collector V Dakshinamurthy and Superintendent of police Kannamma called on the injured at the hospital.
