16-yr-old gangrape victim commits suicide

A 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly gangraped by three youths last month, committed suicide today by consuming poison at her residence here.

The teenager, a resident of Rasoolpur village of the district, had been abducted and gangraped by three youths -- Pankaj, Ajay and Mayank on April 19, a police official said.

She had gone into depression after the incident, he said.

All accused have been arrested and are currently in jail.
