A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a neighbour in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Thursday.
Rajvir barged into the victim's house when she was alone at her house and committed the crime after threatening her with dire consequences on July 29, they said.
The girl's father approached the police, after which the victim was sent for medical examination.
A First Information Report has been lodged against the accused under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act over the complaint of the girl's father and the accused was arrested, said Station House Officer (Nayagaon) Jagpal Singh.
