Two policemen have been suspended from services in connection with an attempt to murder case registered against them on the complaint of a scrap dealer registered here last month, police said today.
SSP Moga Jatinder Singh has placed Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Surinderpal Singh and Head Constable Jatinder Kumar under suspension, they said.
Scrap dealer Kapil Dev Sharma had alleged that he was attacked by a group of people, including the ASI and Head Constable, with sharp-edged weapons when he was returning from his shop on November 24.

An attempt to murder case was registered against the accused on November 26, police said.
Surinderpal is now posted at Samalsar and Jatinder Kumar is posted at Ajitwal.
No arrest has been made so far, police said.
