A man and a woman were found dead today with gunshot wounds under mysterious circumstances at a village in Norfolk county in the UK.
The pair, in their late 40s, were found dead just after midnight last night in Magdalen, Norfolk police said.
The man was found in the front garden of a house in Stow road while the woman was found inside.
"We are in the very early stages of the investigation and while I understand how shocking the news of this incident must be for neighbours of the two people involved and other local residents, I can reassure them that we are putting all our efforts into establishing the circumstances surrounding their deaths," Detective Superintendent Paul Durham said.
Neighbours said they believed the man and the woman who died were a couple. Forensic teams are searching the house and the road to the property remains closed while investigations continue.
"This is extremely shocking and my thoughts are very much with the family and friends of those involved. Obviously the investigation is ongoing and I know the police are out in the community speaking to local residents about what has taken place. I have asked the Chief Constable to keep me updated on developments," South West Norfolk Tory MP Elizabeth Truss said.
