2 held, 50 kg ganja seized

Two persons were arrested today and 50 kg of Ganja worth Rs 2.5 lakh was seized from them at Paria village in Bihar's Munger district, a senior police officer said.

Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti said a team led by Bariyarpur police station SHO Abhinav raided the village after receiving an information that some smugglers had gathered there with huge quantity of ganja (marijuana) to be sold during Shrawani mela.

The accused Pintu Yadav and Jai Kishan Yadav were rounded up and the marijuana was recovered from their possession, the SP said, adding they are brothers.
