2 killed, 20 injured in van-bus collision

Two persons were killed and 20 others injured when their van and a bus collided head-on near Kottampatti in the district today, police said.

The occupants of the van were coming from Manaparai to Alagarkovil, 20 km from here, when the mishap occurred at Valaicheripatti.

A woman and her grandaughter died while being rushed to a government hospital where the injured were being treated, police said.
