Two persons were killed and seven injured today when the truck they were travelling in overturned in Devprayag area of Tehri district.
The accident occurred this afternoon when the truck carrying the labourers was on its way to Nagrasu Grurdwara in Rudraprayag district, Tehri SSP N S Napalchyal said.
The two labourers killed have been identified as Kanhai Kumar and Dipak, both hailing from Bihar. Both of them were 18-years-old, he said.
The brakes of the vehicle apparently failed causing the accident, the SSP said.
