A junior engineer of state Health Department and his brother were killed while two others sustained injuries when a truck collided with their vehicle head on near Tambo Chowk under Muffasil police station in West Singhbhum district today, the police said.
Junior engineer Binay Kumar Singh, his brother Udai Kumar Singh and two others -- Navin Kumar Singh and Gopal, a peon of the department, were travelling in the car when the collision took place.
Binay was killed on the spot while the three other injured occupants of the car were taken to the Sadar Hospital. Doctors there referred Navin and Udai to Jamshedpur, the police said.
However, Udai succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The police seized the truck but its driver fled.
