Two persons were arrested today for allegedly looting a family after taking them hostage on gun point.
Acting on a tip off, police nabbed the duo identified as Nitesh and Chandra Bharadwaj from Najafgarh area for committing robbery in Baba Haridas Nagar of south-west Delhi at the house of one Surendra Kharab, who deals in real estate.
According to the police, the duo barged into the house after scaling the wall from the backside and barged into the room where Surendra's mother Rajbala and sister Sunita were sleeping.

They held them hostage at gun point and locked the room while other family members were sleeping, police said.
"The duo beat up Sunita and broke open the cupboard. They then made off with the cash and valuables. We registered a case and started the investigation. We were happy to find a CCTV camera in the house. We examined its footage on which the robbers were caught committing the crime," police said.
In the CCTV footage, the faces of the accused persons were clearly visible, they said adding that after receiving information that they were hiding in Najafgarh a trap was laid and they were nabbed.
