With the arrest of two robbers, Delhi Police today claimed to have solved 17 robbery and snatching cases in South-west, West and Outer districts of Delhi.
The two accused, identified as Manish (30) and Sanjay (22), usually targeted women walking alone on the roadside. They also kept firearms while committing snatching so that in case of any resistance, they could flee after opening fire.
"On interrogation, they disclosed their involvement in a series of robberies and snatchings in different parts of South-West, West and Outer districts of Delhi. As many as 17 cases of robberies have been worked out," said a police officer.
"Two .32 bore pistols and two live cartridges were recovered from them. Three stolen motorcycles, one scooty, one robbed gold chain and one robbed mobile phone was also recovered from them," he said.
