2 Russian women injured in road mishap

Two Russian sisters working here were injured in a road accident near South Goa's Colva beach, police said today.

"Moscow native Alano Alexander Azarova and her sister Olga, both working for a private travel firm, were injured when the scooter they were riding dashed against another two-wheeler on Wednesday," a police spokesman said.

The mishap occurred near Colva beach when Velkida D'Mello who was travelling in front of the sisters' scooter took a sudden turn.

Olga and Alano sustained minor injuries in the incident, police said.

A case has been registered against her under Motor Vehicle Act.
