2 teenagers drown in pond in UP

A 17-year-old boy along with an 18-year-old boy died here today after drowning in a pond in Chitbadagaon village, police said.

The incident occurred when the two teenagers, Rajshekhar and Ankit Rai were taking bath in a village pond and slipped into the deeper end and drowned, Superintendent of Police, K C Goswami said.

The bodies were later fished out from the pond with the help of the locals, he said.

The matter is being probed, the SP said.
