24 probables named for Jharkhand Ranji coaching camp

Twenty four probables have been named to take part in the fortnight-long coaching camp to select the Jharkhand team for the forthcoming Ranji Trophy.

The players have been asked to report at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium, Ranchi tomorrow for the camp, which would be held from July 25 to August 9, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Secretary, Rajesh Verma said.

The camp was aimed at improving physical fitness, while the players would undergo training in the second camp likely to be held in the later part of August, he said.

The JSCA secretary said a former Ranji player of the state Rajiv Kumar would join the team as coach at the second camp likely to be held from August 13.
 

About the skipper of the Jharkhand team, Verma said we have not yet decided, but middle-order batsman Kumar Deobrat was likely to retain the captaincy.

The probables were Ishan Kishan, Ishank Jaggi, Saurabh Tiwary, Virat Singh, Kumar Deobrat, Prakash Munda, Avinash Kumar, Ajatshatru, S P Gautam, Sumit Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem, Samar Quadri, Kaushal Singh, Rahul Prasad, Vinayak Vikram, Ankit Dabas, Mithun Mukherjee, Rahul Shukla, Rituraj Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Vikash Singh, Ashish Kumar, Monu Singh and Ajay Yadav.
