As many as 28 girl students being chased by monkeys were injured today after they fell from school building's roof here when its parapet wall collapsed, police said today.
A group of monkeys attacked the school girls who were roaming on the roof. In a bid to save themselves, they reportedly tried to climb the parapet wall which collapsed, ASP Sujata Singh said.
The girls fell from the roof of the one-storey school building and were rushed to hospitals. While 21 girls were admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay government hospital, seven others were admitted to a private one, she said.

All the injured are stated to be out of danger, Singh said, adding that some of the girls were discharged by the evening.
District Magistrate Zuhair bin Shagir, SSP Nitin Tiwari, ASP Sujata and other officials immediately reached the spot on receiving information about the incident.
The Ramchandra girls inter-college, where the incident occurred, is an old private school of the city, District Inspector of School Indraveer Singh Solanki said, adding that an inquiry has been ordered in the incident.
