3 drug peddlers held, heroin seized in Jammu

Three alleged drug peddlers were held along with some quantity of heroin and poppy straw in separate operations here, police said today.

Amrik Singh, a resident of Kunjawani, was arrested after 15 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession in Gandhi Nagar area of the city, a police spokesman said.

Police also intercepted a motorcyclist, Sanjeev Kumar alias Munna, at Preet Nagar in Digiana and recovered three grams of heroin from him, the spokesman said.

In the third such operation, Sher Khan alias Bubble, was arrested after one kg of poppy straw was recovered from him at Jinder Maiullu in R S Pura area.
 

He was on a motorcycle when the police intercepted him, the spokesman said.
