3 killed in road accident in Aligarh

Three people were killed in an accident in Aligarh district this morning, a senior official said.

The victims, identified as Manpal (28), Prempal (29) and Mustaqim (32) were sitting in a roadside kiosk in Nanau village under Akbarabad police station area when a truck, on its way from Kanpur, hit them, IG (Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh said.

The locals staged a protest demanding compensation for the families of the victims, for sometime, the IG said, adding, the truck has been seized and further action was being taken.
