Three persons were killed and two others injured in two separate road mishaps in this district today.
A 32-year-old man, riding a scooty, was crushed to death under a private bus on Hamirpur-Dharamshala national highway near Jhaniari village this evening, police said.
Locals claimed that the driver did not stop the bus and victim was dragged along with the bus for a distance, killing him on the spot.

Following the incident, irate locals smashed the windowpanes of the bus and set the bus ablaze. However, the fire was doused after police arrived at the spot.
People also blocked the road in protest. It was lifted after Deputy Commissioner Madan Chauhan and district Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh Bodh reached the spot and pacified the protesters.
Bodh said the bus driver has been arrested and a case negligent driving has been registered against him. Also, the bus has been impounded.
The Deputy Commissioner gave Rs 25,000 to the family of the deceased as compensation and said Rs four lakh would be given later.
In another incident, two members of a family were killed and two others injured, after the tipper, they were riding, fell into a gorge at Kunana village in the district this afternoon.
Raj Kumar (36), who was driving the tipper, lost control over the vehicle and it fell in the gorge killing him and his wife, ASP Shiv Kumar said, adding their two children Komal and Banshu, were rescued by the locals and taken to PGI Chandigarh for treatment.
