Four minor siblings received burn injuries after their room was engulfed in fire which spread from a candle they had lit to study due to a power cut in southeast Delhi's Badarpur area, police said today.
The elder siblings, Rakhi (13) and Deepali (7), have received serious burn injuries while Ashu (5) and Lucky (3) had minor injuries, said a police officer.
The boys were discharged after treatment while Rakhi and Deepali, who have sustained 40 per cent and 30 per cent burn injuries respectively, are admitted at the Safdarjung hospital, he said.

The four were studying in the room lit by a candle due to a power cut in the area. The fire was noticed around 9.30 PM yesterday, the police said.
The candle used by them was kept on a cooler made of plastic. After the candle got burnt, the plastic body of the cooler caught fire which soon spread in the room.
Alerted by the cries of the children, neighbours rescued them and rushed them to hospital.
The father of the children, Sunil, who works as a driver and his wife, who works as a domestic help, were not present at the time of the incident.
