As many as 48 students of a high school were injured, four of them seriously, after their tempo overturned at Nigadwadi in Karvir taluka today, police said.
The mishap occurred when the tempo driver lost his control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn, they said.
The students and their teacher were headed towards Vasagade village to participate in 'Road Safety Week' programme.
All children are students of Chhatrapati Yuvaraj Shahu Maharaj High School.
Condition of four children is stated to be serious but stable.
