In a major reshuffle in the Revenue Department of the Punjab government, 49 officials, including ten District Revenue Officers (DROs), were today transferred.
Of the 49 revenue officials, 39 are tehsildars, an official spokesman said.
District Revenue Officer Rohit Gupta has been posted as DRO Amritsar, while Mukesh Kumar to Mohali, Jiwan Jagjot to Ludhiana and Daljit Singh Chhina to Fatehgarh Sahib.

The government had yesterday shifted 39 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).
Sources said that the transfers are being done by the government in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
