Five government employees of different departments were suspended for remaining absent from duty on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, officials said.
A team of officers of the district administration inspected 11 offices of various government departments located at the district headquarter and found five employees absent without leave, they said.
The government offices inspected are the Animal Husbandry Department, Sales Tax office, Geology and Mining office, Excise and Taxation office, IWMP office, Child Development Project Office, General Provident office, District Forest office (Social Forestry), Cooperatives office, Fisheries Office and the Pollution Control Board office.
The employees were placed under suspension, they said.
